just wanted to let you know I got the package from shannon today I cant wait to start the book it is called Knit two together, i got stitch markers that she made from beads, a beaded bookmark, some tea, a skein of knitpiks yarn which i have never used before, and some peppermint sticks. Thanks again Shannon.

Juli's package arrived today. And look at what she sent:

I've never seen Steinbeck's Travels with Charley, so I can't wait to read that one (not to mention that one of the goals I set this year was to read more "classic" works). :o) I'm sure I'll enjoy the others, too, but I'm really excited about Steinbeck's book.

And look at her needlework! I'm so impressed.

I really like the paper art bookmarks, too (the three in the bottom right of the photo -- neat ideas!).

I read so many books at one time, I'll use them all!

So now all I have to do is make a cup of tea (with the tea bags Juli enclosed), pop in a few pieces of gum (from the Dentyne ice pack), and start reading!!!

Juli, thank you so much. You're a sweetheart (and you've been sick, no less). Bless your heart.

I got a great package!

My package actually made it awhile ago. I forgot to post here although I did post on my blog. But I'll share the picture of all the great stuff. I'm making good use of my bookmark.

And I'm ready for another partner. This was a lot of fun! And I'm glad that my partner liked her package. Sounds like it came at the right time.

I just realized today that I never posted a picture of the wonderful bookmark swap package that Joan sent me!! Above is a photo of the great books she sent me....the one on the left is one she wrote! :)

She also sent 2 packages of coffee,, a packet of almonds and 2 candy bars, plus several bookmarks!!! :) Thank you so much Joan! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get a picture up to show everyone. I was sick....then the computer went down....then I was sick again. Ugh! I'm just now catching up with everything.

And.....I owe Joan an apology. With being ill and having PC problems, I am late in mailing out her package. I'm sorry Joan. The good news is that your package is all ready to go, and will be going out in Saturday's mail by Priority Post so it should be arriving to you very soon!!!

Sorry for not posting a picture, but I wanted to thank Wendy for being such a great swap partner.
She sent me the most beautiful, delicate knitted bookmark, some treats for my big kiddos (actually my son ate them all!), wonderful Kona coffee (definately a favorite:) and a package of pretty origami papers. We are planning a trip to Japan this summer, so we have been trying to 'get in the mood' by enjoying traditional Japanese crafts....so thanks so much again. We both know that we share great taste in books....we almost sent each other the SAME book. Michael Crighton is great. It was a pleasure.

FYI to Jill - I am ready to be included in the next round of swaps whenever it comes around.

Ooooooo, Christine, I love the goodies! The bookmarks are beautiful! That's so funny that we almost sent each other the same book. Of course the cookies were half gone in five minutes, so was the tea for that matter. Yummos! I've been looking for adequate ground cover for our desolate yard. The wildflower mix is perfect! And yarn! Ah, yarn. YARN! I'm thinking, knit bacteria, a fish...You watch, some interesting critter will soon emerge. Thank you so much!

I had to take separate pics of the bookmarks to post because they are so NEATO! I want to put the fiber one in a page protector, it's so pretty.

Michael Crichton is always a favorite for me.

I received a lovely box from Jill today! Thank you! I opened it after returning from the Periodontist, where I had a tooth extracted. What a nice surprise!
Jill sent to me: Sense and Sensibility (my favorite author...Jane Austen) a knitting mystery book by Mary Kruger (can't wait to read it) a selection of mysteries, an awesome reading light (when I like to read late into the night, and hubby prefers lights off), a cute lamb PEZ candy dispenser, and an "I Love Reading" booklet of stickers...wait until my 8 yr old sees them. :) Oh, let's not forget the cute Kansas postcard and the beautiful papercrafted bookmark. The bookmark has already found a home in my Sensational Knitted Socks book.

Offline for a couple days.....

hi gals! Just wanted to let you know that I will be offline for a couple of days. Our computer is having major problems. I just finally got it up and going temporarily to come on to post messages....it has to go into the shop for a reformat on Monday.

As soon as we get it back from the shop, I'll be back online and can update swap info and answer emails, etc. :)

Joan -- I received your package!!! Oh my! I love everything!!! Your package is ready to go, and is sitting on my dining room table. I can't get into the database or anything on this silly computer to get your address.....the documents are all backed up though. So, as soon as I get this back, and my handy-dandy MS Office is reinstalled, I will be able to address your package and send it on its way. I'm sorry it's going out late....I got behind because of a severe cold, then the computer crashed......ARGH! lol. I will send you a delivery confirm # when I get your package in the mail to you. :)
