Update!

OK.....the surgery is all over with. I've been home for a week now, and doing fine. For anyone facing a total hysterectomy, I recommend the DaVinci robotic laproscopy method. Much less invasive -- I have six small 1/4 to 1/2 inch incisions at the top of my belly and that's it. And the recovery time/pain, etc is much much less than a full abdominal incision. Much less chance of infection, etc. I was home from the hospital in one day. Completely off pain meds in less than a week. I still have to be careful about lifting, and overdoing, but this is sooooooo much less painful than my c-section 3 years ago.

I'm going to take it easy until mid October. I'd like to re-start this group then. I'll email everyone that's a member here and see who is still interested in swapping.

Sorry that the group had to go on hiatus like that for awhile. I was in constant pain, and I just had to take some irons out of the fire.

It was a blessed moment when I woke up from surgery and that deep pelvic pain I'd had for months was just GONE. Oh, happy day!!!! And even better -- all of the icky stuff causing the problem was totally benign!! :) They had the lab results already when I woke up from the anesthetic. Great doctor, great support staff, great hospital! :)

Hugs! Juli
