WOW! Thanks Heather

Thank you so much Heather. We received your parcel today and are just.. thrilled!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

My daughter doesn't even realise there is a second handbag for her, she took that cradle purse and went crazy with it! She's totally in love with the cradle purse and the tiny doll inside, which I much say is super cute! I think for now I will put the second purse aside and save it for when she deserves a new present.

The bookmarks are simply gorgeous!! I have never seen a bookmark as large as the pineapple one. The beads on both are perfect finishing touches. I can tell you have a lot of pride in your work. I love all the other trinkets too. The pins will be great keepsakes for my daughter, and she is so curious about to tooth fairy pillow, only I am not ready to tell her her teeth will fall out in a few years!! lol I am sure the pin cushion will be used often and the magnet is so sweet! I just love what it says on the back about Trolls, as though they're just the average creature you'll see roaming the hillsides in Norway. It's fantastic you've had designs published in Crochet World and I truly hope your trinket box is accepted. It was such a joy to study it and see how you'd made it. What a chubby little kitty you're going to have so you an steal the sardine tins!! My nanna (gran) has already stolen the novel to read as she is an avid crime reader, and when I took my items to show her she asked if she could read it as she'd just finished one and needed another.

I am waiting in anticipation until such time as your package arrives. Hopefully it will be soon! I think you will have a little chuckle when you see some of what I made you. I have had so much fun in my first swap and look forward to meeting another of the lovely ladies here very soon. Take care all, Shell xxx

Hi Shell
Glad you received my parcel okay and that you are enjoying the contents. Those little cradle purses are very popular with the younger set. I made 25 of them while sitting on the beach in Mexico last year. Gave them all away to the beach vendors' children. I can make one, start to finish in about 45 minutes--I like to make things that can be done quickly as I do not seem to have patience enough for larger, more time-consuming projects. Am looking forward to receiving your package. Thank you for your kind words re my workmanship.
Cheers
Heather

Hey Heather

Seems we have quite a bit in common. The isolation, the lack of patience etc :)I kept seeing the cradle purses and saying "one day"! I am sure we all do that. Jessi would have probably never got one if it weren't for you, and it's nice to see how much she loves it. Kids these days are too materialistic and I try not to let Jess go that way. I wish your package would hurry up and get to you... That's my fault I know lol

Take care
Shell

LOL! thanks for the encouragement Shell! I appreciate it! :)
The postal service should appreciate those of us who participate in swaps, by getting our packages there on time! lol They were worried the internet would harm their profit, but I think we have increased it!!!
Have a good day!

Hi Michelle and Pancy
The cradle purses are really easy and quick to make. My favourite pattern is out of an old magazine but I know there are several more patterns for them posted on the net. A lady named Irene Duquette has an awesome pattern on her website.Try googleing her name or free crocheted cradle purse patterns and see what comes up. If you don't have success I can send you a copy of the one I use by snail mail.
Regards
Heather

Hi Shell
Don't sweat the parcel. I have been having an awful time lately over work related issues so it is really nice to know that I am in for a nice treat. It is also kind of exciting not knowing exactly when it will come. Reminds me of when I was a kid at Christmas with all the gifts wrapped up under the tree and wondering what they might all contain. With my luck though it will probably arrive this coming week when I will be away once again. I think that this swap is one of the best things I have ever participated in.I am a real crochet fanatic and suffer hugely whenever my hook and I are separated for any length of time.It is really great to be able to share what I make with others. Hope you are having a great day! Give your little one a big hug from me. We have 11 grandchildren and two greats. Bye for now.
Cheers-----Heather

Hi Shell
I am back home after a hectic week but successful conference. It has turned cold here---heavy frost for the last four mornings. The big white trumpeter swans have returned to our village pond so that is a sure sign of late fall. Your package has not yet arrived, but as I said, please do not worry. It will get here and I will let you know the moment it does.
I was at a craft sale yesterday in a neighbouring community and I did quite well with my creations. There were a lot of vendors with lots of beautiful handmade goods. I got to visit with my Mom as she joined me at my table and helped out with the selling.I just bought a new leaflet with all kinds of great bookmark patterns. Can hardly wait to try some of them out. Hope all is well with you and your little one.
Cheers

Hey Heather

We're well thanks! Sounds awesome where you live right now. It gets cold here but nothing like that. Unfortunately it is getting rather hot here at the moment, and as such Jessi's eczema is breaking out all over. Poor babe. But she is still happy enough.

I just hope your package arrives. A) cos it's for you and B) cos I put a lot of money into it! lol. It certainly has been a good learning experience. I just joined the Crochetville Holiday Swap so I know now what NOT to do!! lol. Oh, and I started a blog about my crafts. You can find it at http://shell-n-jessi.blogspot.com/ I only started it yesterday but I have tried to add a few posts all at once so it doesn't look empty!!

Thanks for your patience with this whole package thing. You're doing better than me! I check here every day to see if it has finally arrived.. Soon I hope.. Take care Heather (and everyone else).
